Senior Project Engineer, Kevin DeMers and his team at DiPrete Engineering have finished the surveying and site design for modifications of the former Atlantic Beach Club on Purgatory Road in Middletown. Under the oversight of Longwood Events the former club has undergone a total transformation and is now known as the Newport Beach House, a luxury wedding venue.

The renovated 13,000 sq. ft. venue lies on 4.25 acres of land and includes 158 off-street parking spaces. Alongside architect Perkins and Will, attorney Brian Bardorf, landscaper ML Curadossi, and engineers Roome and Guarracino, DiPrete obtained a CRMC Assent and FEMA Elevation Certification for the double decker beach house.

“What made this coastal project so unique was the redevelopment of the fully paved outdoor space between the building and the beach to a well-landscaped patio area,” said Kevin. “The remodel changed the facility from a utilitarian use to an intimate space for private events.”
