DiPrete Engineering recently celebrated Women in Construction week to honor all 14 of the women on their team. This celebratory week began with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWC). The group was founded in Fort Worth, Texas in 1953, a time when only 16 women were involved in the construction industry.
To recognize all of their female employees’ dedication and accomplishments over the years, DiPrete celebrated its own “Women in Construction”.
To honor DiPrete’s women, here is a list of our employees and some of their current projects:
Nicole Reilly, Senior Project Manager and Professional Engineer, is working on a new residence hall, dining addition, athletic fields, and academic buildings for the New England Institute of Technology. She’s also helping with a 125 acre Citizens Bank Corporate Campus, developing single and multifamily housing for Reynolds Farm and The Middleberry, and redeveloping Hope Mills.
Project Manager and Professional Engineer Molly Titus has recently taken on three design management projects including the new Portsmouth police station, the property across the street to Cumberland police station, and the new Longplex Family & Sports Center in Tiverton.
Sheryl Guglielmo, also a Project Manager for the team has contributed to a number of redevelopment projects throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She is currently working on the revitalizations of Garden City Center and the Rhode Island Mall.
As the firm’s only Landscape Architect, Alex Avery is working to increase the visibility at the entrance of the new development Forbes Crossing in Foxborough MA and is also improving the site’s parking lot planting and the landscape for a proposed hotel there. She’s also working on Kettle Point’s new park design and planting.
Project Engineer, Jill Daponte recently helped with the development of a new state of the art facility in Kettle Point for University Orthopedics. She and her team completed all of the necessary permitting for the construction of the four-story building.
Marianne Diffin, Civil Engineer is working on the North Avenue Solar Farm in Attleboro MA, a 19.8 acre site that contains over 5,000 solar panels that will rotate to follow the sun. She is also drafting the RIDEM submission for a new Cumberland Farms in Portsmouth.
Civil and Professional Engineer, Dana Nisbet has been working on the Citizens Bank Corporate Campus alongside Nicole Reilly. She has also been collaborating with AGI Construction who has plans to move their construction headquarters to a new site at Lacroix Drive.
Jennifer Colson, a Site Designer at DiPrete handles the firm’s regulatory research and proposal writing. She is also on the 6S team for LEAN and audits team members to ensure that the office is neat and organized so that employees can more efficient with their work.
Jennifer Sweet, A/R Billing and Accounts Payable Supervisor, oversees all of the team’s LEAN 6S activities for workplace organization. She also has various accounting and administrative responsibilities.
As the HR Manager for DiPrete, Karen King says, “employee engagement is important to me. I do what I can to keep communication open, ensure everyone is treated fairly and given the opportunity to do what they do best, and that we have some fun along the way. I love my job and the people I work with.”
Sheelagh Brady is the team’s Credit and Collections Manager. She is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s credit and collections functions, along with other accounting and administrative responsibilities.
Account Clerk, Jean DeFusco joined the team about a year ago. Her primary role is to handle accounts payable but she also assists with accounts receivable billing, payroll and front office support.
Receptionists Lisa Baccari and Liz Mak are the first faces a client sees when entering DiPrete’s office. Both have the duty of welcoming and assisting clients, and are in charge of office inventory. “Our main focus is to provide our clients with the best possible customer service,” said Lisa.
