Liz Mak, Receptionist

Q: When did you join DiPrete Engineering and what role did you play at the firm?

A: I joined the firm as an administrative assistant in 2013.

Q: What does a typical work day look like for you?

A: I start my day by making sure the kitchen and common areas of the office are stocked. I’ll also put out the mail and send invoices/statements. Once I’m through with my accounting tasks, I’ll have a response to comments and sometimes an abutters mailing to send out. In the meantime, there is always the phone to answer and a dozen other small errands to attend to. There are many moving parts!

Q: What do you enjoy most about DiPrete Engineering?

A: I love the people I get to work with. It’s kind of sappy to say, but everyone here is honestly great and I’m constantly in awe of the talent, hard work, and dedication from the people at this firm. I’m proud this company puts such an emphasis on harmony and takes every chance it gets to boost morale. I don’t think there is any better way to foster love and loyalty among coworkers.

Q: Where do you see yourself in five years?

A: Working out of our DiPrete offices in Aruba or perhaps, hear me out, a teacher at “DiPrete Daycare”. In all seriousness, I love what I do and the company I work for, and in five years I hope to be here at DiPrete so I can continue to learn and grow on a daily basis.

Q: How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?

A: I like to cook and bake. I love to craft and get out in nature with my family and friends. I recently just started a shelving business with my partner and it’s doing well.
