New England Institute of Technology

East Greenwich, RI

DiPrete Engineering is currently part of a design team that is creating a new ‘green campus’ in East Greenwich.

The proposal for the new campus includes utilizing a 265,000 sf building, formerly built as a headquarters for Brooks Pharmacy. The plan is to move the current academic activities to this building within the next one to three years.
The plans call for dormitories, athletic fields, and field house with anticipated construction after 2013. The final buildout will also contain over 1,600 parking spaces.

DiPrete Engineering is working closely with the project team and the Town to assess and plan water, sewer and drainage infrastructure, roadway design, emergency access and overall land planning as well as all regulatory permitting.

Since opening its doors in 1940, NEIT has grown into the leader in technical education in Southeastern New England. Today, enrollment is over 3,000 students. DiPrete Engineering is honored to be a part of their growing tradition.
