As part of the first phase of Dowling Village, CVS/Pharmacy is the first tenant at this development. Located at the intersection of Eddie Dowling Highway and Old Louisquisset Pike, DiPrete Engineering worked with the developer to modify the approved engineering and design plans to accommodate a proposed CVS/Pharmacy building layout.
The development site was originally approved for two retail buildings and a restaurant as part of Phase One of Dowling Village, a large scale land development project consisting of over 600,000 sf of retail, restaurant, office and residential uses. The two retail buildings were combined to provide the square footage that CVS was looking for. Since the site was under construction, with a significant amount of utilities installed according to the original design plans, careful consideration was necessary to utilize the original design as much as possible to minimize costs.
