Rite Aid Pharmacy

This project, engineered and permitted by DiPrete Engineering is located on a site formerly occupied by a bowling alley. The site is located on Putnam Pike (Route 44), west of Apple Valley. In addition to the Rite Aid Pharmacy, the site will contain an additional retail building.

The existing site was completely impervious either by building or parking area.  The stormwater runoff from the site ran uncontrolled towards Commerce Street to the west of the site and into Reaper Brook.

The proposed development was planned with oversized drainage pipes intended to store stormwater and meter it out, instead of running uncontrolled.  In addition, an underground infiltration system was utilized to control roof runoff.
