NOAA Headquarters at Quonset's Pier One

DiPrete Engineering and Saccoccio & Associates teamed with the Quonset Development Corporation to develop a new home for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Quonset’s Pier One will be the new docking location for NOAA’s two hundred fifty foot research vessel for known as the Okeanos Explorer.

The 1.3 acre paved site area will be converted into an 8,500 sf office, warehouse and research building with associated parking yards and landscaping beds. The stormwater is managed vegetated rain gardens that greatly improved the water quality of the existing paved site.
