This development, located off South County Trail, when complete will contain 64 single family detached condominiums and 66 'age qualified' (55 plus) condominiums. The development plan also calls for the restoration of a gravel bank into a vegetated open space area. In fact, over 27 acres of the excavated area will be restored and will be suitable for active and passive recreation.
The developer of the homes, Hugh Fisher, decided to market Deer Brook utilizing a 'woman-centric' home design. Fisher’s model single-family homes incorporate the core woman-centric principles, which include having areas for entertaining and de-stressing, ample storage and flexible design. And even though the model house at Deer Brook is not a McMansion — it is under 2,000 square feet and priced in the $300,000s — there is an attention to detail not often seen at this relatively moderate price point.
The development is serviced by private wells and Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems installed with denitrification systems.
The development and this unique home design concept was featured in the Providence Journal in December, 2007. The full article can be found in our 'News' section.
