The American Council of Engineering Companies of Rhode Island (ACEC-RI) recently held its 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards ceremony and DiPrete Engineering is proud to announce itself a recipient of the second place Blue Ribbon Hope Award. This award recognizes engineering achievements that demonstrate a high degree of merit and ingenuity and contribute to the infrastructure of Rhode Island and the surrounding communities.

This year’s Blue Ribbon Hope Award recognized a project with construction costs of more than $10M.

DiPrete was awarded alongside BETA Group, Inc., Pare Corporation, Elkus Manfredi, Dimeo Construction Company, DiGregorio Corporation, and GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. for their work on the new Citizens Bank Campus in Johnston. DiPrete Engineering led the site/civil project team obtaining permits from Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM), Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT), and the Town of Johnston.

The pace at which this project was conceived, designed, and permitted was very fast-track, involving almost every aspect of engineering and significant regulatory permitting in a short period of time. The campus is designed to foster collaboration among colleagues, create an excellent experience for their customers, and become a special place for the community.
