DiPrete Engineering recently provided engineering and permitting support to Ashaway RV Resort, a destination campground located on 74 acres in Hopkinton, RI. Conveniently located near beaches, shopping, and golf courses, the newly-opened 260-site resort offers a range of comforts and activities such as WiFi, cable TV, tennis, volleyball and bocce.
The campground’s pools, laundry service, and septic system required a custom onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) that was designed by DiPrete Engineering.
“We designed a robust septic system that can handle a flow of 32,500 gallons per day,” said Eric Prive, a Project Manager at DiPrete Engineering. “That number includes wastewater from the pavilion, pool and laundry facilities. Individual RV pads have their own septic tanks that transfer wastewater to the community’s OWTS for denitrification.”
DiPrete Engineering’s design for the advanced treatment septic system also reduces nitrogen by 50 percent.
