This month, DiPrete Engineering celebrated Women in Construction, an annual recognition created by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Each year, Women in Construction highlights women as a viable component of the construction industry and brings awareness of how important it can be for women to see construction as a new avenue for work and success.
“The construction industry provides many jobs where women can build a career for themselves,” said Nicole Reilly, PE, LEED AP, Vice President of DiPrete Engineering. “With the continued increase of women in engineering, architecture, and other trade jobs, it’s vital that women feel empowered and encouraged to work in those fields.”
When DiPrete Engineering first opened its doors in 1988, the firm had a total of two female employees. Today, DiPrete has a diverse group of women all working toward the same goal: expert client service and continued growth for our firm.
Of our 20+ female employees, nearly 25% work in leadership roles, 25% recently graduated from college or graduate school and are now working in technical roles, and about 50% work in accounting, marketing, administrative, and other supporting roles. Together these talented women manage and facilitate engineering design, construction oversight, survey, client communication, business development, and more.
In honor of Women in Construction, DiPrete Engineering would like to recognize all its hard-working and team-oriented female employees.
