DiPrete Engineering recently participated in Take Your Dog to Work Day®, a Pet Sitters International (PSI) annual event to celebrate dogs and promote pet adoptions. Take Your Dog to Work Day® was first celebrated in 1999 and is always celebrated on the Friday following Father’s Day. It accommodates cat owners and others who cannot participate.
This year, the firm enjoyed the company of Dusty, Ginny, Louie, and Snickers thanks to owners Emerson Torrey, Director of Information Technology, Brian Giroux, Director of Engineering and Design, Sheelagh Brady, Credit and Collections Manager, and Nicole Reilly, Vice President. Treats were handed out for the dogs to enjoy as well as several toys.
A donation collection was also created on behalf of Save-a-Lab, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of displaced Labrador Retrievers and Labrador Retriever mixes. Nicole, who has been involved in the organization since 2012, adopted both of her dogs through Save-a-Lab.
“So many dogs are in need of homes,” said Nicole. “I encourage anyone who is able to foster or to get involved. It’s very rewarding work, and there is nothing better than helping to save a life.”
