With a statewide effort underway to end veterans’ homelessness, DiPrete Engineering is pitching in to help Saccoccio & Associates with a project. As the former Heaton and Cowing Mill is transformed into 20 affordable homes for veterans, DiPrete is providing its surveying, site engineering and permitting services.
DiPrete is working in collaboration with the Blackstone Valley Development Corporation and Veterans for Tomorrow to renovate the vacant jewelry manufacturing building.
The building is located at 1115 Douglas Avenue in Providence and will include units accessible to veterans with disabilities. It will also include a job training center.
“We couldn’t be more proud to have worked on this project,” said Nicole Reilly, Senior Project Manager at DiPrete.
Construction is expected to be complete by October.
