Katie DiPrete Joins the Team

Katie DiPrete, a recent graduate of the University of Richmond in Virginia, has joined the team as an environmental scientist working with Chris Sutter.  Katie will be a full-time, familiar face around the office until she leaves in September to pursue a master’s degree in environmental science. “I’m considering Duke University in North Carolina as well as URI,” says Katie. Bluesphere breaks ground on 3.2 MW biogas plant in Rhode Island

Celebrating Women in the Engineering Field!

The effort all started with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWC), a group founded in Fort Worth, Texas, way back in the 1950s. Only 16 women were involved in the construction industry in 1953. 8.9 percent of those working in the U.S. construction industry were women, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
