University Orthopedics is a regional referral center for patients with back and neck pain, joint pain, sports medicine problems, shoulder pain, hand problems, hip and knee pain, and foot and ankle injury.
The new 88,500 square foot, four-story medical center is the first commercial building to be constructed on the Kettle Point property, which also consists of 230 residential units. The project was led by builder Michael Integlia & Company. The firm teamed up with DiPrete Engineering, NEMD Architects, Inc., and EW Burman on the construction of the building.
DiPrete Engineering received all necessary project permits through the City of East Providence, the Waterfront District Commission, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, and the Coastal Resources Management Council.
