Brennan Construction & Restoration teamed with Crossman Engineering, DiPrete Engineering, and attorney Bob Silva to design and build a conservation development on Mitchell’s Lane in Middletown known as Stone Bridge Farm.

Conceptual work for this property has been ongoing for many years. Following acceptable soil testing conducted with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) to support a community septic system in 2017, the site was eventually approved by the Middletown Planning Board as an 11-lot conservation subdivision with a 1,000’ cul de sac roadway.

DiPrete Engineering’s design for the development included a proposed public roadway, pumped community septic system, and closed drainage system and water quality practices. The design was permitted through the RIDEM Wetlands and OWTS Programs. The team also received a Wetlands Insignificant Alteration Permit and OWTS Construction Permit.

Following state approvals, the Town Preliminary Plan process commenced, and after thorough coordination with the town’s staff and peer reviewer as well as concerned abutters, the Planning Board approved the preliminary plan in late summer 2019. The administrative final approval is currently pending.
