DiPrete Designs Landscape for O’Hare Academic
The O’Hare Academic Center at Salve Regina University in Newport recently completed a $26 million building expansion and renovation to its landscape and hardscape around the building. The project, which added 23,000 square feet to the Center, includes indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as outdoor terraces overlooking the University’s oceanfront grounds. DiPrete Celebrates its Women in Construction
The effort started with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), a group of 16 women founded in Fort Worth, Texas during the 1950s. These women were all actively employed in the construction industry and were looking for a support system. Back then, only 8.9 percent of those working in the U.S. construction industry were women, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Transforming a School Into a Modern Office Building
The Economic Development Foundation of Rhode Island has teamed up with Northeast Collaborative, Studio TROIKA and DiPrete Engineering to repurpose and transform the old Sheffield School located in Newport into a modern office building known as Innovate Newport. DiPrete Engineering has successfully completed design and construction on its 4th Wendy’s project. The ground-up project is located in the North Kingstown Crossing Plaza, at the former Fiddlesticks Miniature Golf Course.
