After earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, Louie began his career with a focus on structural engineering before making the transition into site civil work. Since joining DiPrete Engineering in 2021, Louie has become a key contributor to both project work and company initiatives. His portfolio includes a range of impactful projects—from EV charging stations and residential developments across Rhode Island and Massachusetts to municipal drainage and utility upgrades. As the leader of the firm’s networking strategy, Louie helps grow DiPrete’s presence throughout New England by building relationships with organizations and partners across the region. He also plays an active role in mentoring the next generation of engineers, serving as a mentor for the firm’s internship program and as DiPrete’s representative for the URI Civil Engineering Capstone course. A long-time member of the Rhode Island ASCE Younger Member Group, Louie created a new advisor position to support the URI ASCE Student Chapter. He’s passionate about contributing to projects that positively impact the community. Outside of the office, he enjoys live music, working on cars, and volunteering at the Audrain Automobile Museum.
