DiPrete Engineering’s Brett Dellit and Steve Kohm recently graduated from Dale Carnegie training, a course that helps improve the performance of companies and organizations by enhancing the communications skills of their employees. The training involves building public speaking, relationships, and leadership skills.
Throughout the duration of the training, Brett and Steve learned stress management skills and strategies for dealing with workplace conflict in a more effective manner. Their improved interpersonal and communication skills will benefit DiPrete by enriching relationships with both colleagues and clients. Additionally, they made friends in the course that they still keep in touch with.
Steve says he was pleasantly surprised by the interactive nature of the course that encouraged individual participation and engagement.
“This class should be taken by anyone who is looking to learn new techniques for dealing with people in the workplace and would also like to enhance their public speaking abilities,” said Steve.
When asked to give advice to someone about to take the course, Brett said, “Open your mind and invest in it. You will grow – guaranteed. It seemed like a daunting commitment but after each and every session I found myself feeling refreshed and in a good mood.”
“We are so proud of both Brett and Steve for investing in their roles here at DiPrete,” said Hemant Ajbani, Chief Operations Officer of DiPrete Engineering. “We are confident that they will use the information they learned from their training to improve both their personal performance and the overall performance of our team.”
