DiPrete Celebrates its Women in Construction

The effort started with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), a group of 16 women founded in Fort Worth, Texas during the 1950s. These women were all actively employed in the construction industry and were looking for a support system. Back then, only 8.9 percent of those working in the U.S. construction industry were women, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Sports Complex in Newport County Nearing Completion

Tiverton, RI’s new 187,000 square foot family and sports center, next to Route 24 in the Tiverton Industrial Park, is nearing completion.
